Library/Computer Lab

At Chesterfield Academy, our Little Learners Library and Computer Lab provide additional resources for our children and our teachers. Our Little Learners Computer Lab is incorporated into the lesson plans of our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Programs and provide many educational games for the children. For the children's safety, our computers are not connected to the internet and the teacher always remains with the children, assisting them in basics such as how to use the mouse. Not only does spending time in the computer lab serve an educational purpose, but it also enhances our curriculum by providing the children more opportunities to work on fine motor control and hand-eye coordination, as well as the ability to use a computer, which will help them when they go to kindergarten and are expected to use a computer on a daily basis.

Our library is home to a wide array of books that the children have the opportunity to read with the teacher or just sit and look at with their class. It provides a quiet atmosphere and gives the children a chance to leave their classroom together, learn about the value of books and why they are important, and the proper way to take care of our books. Our library is available for children as young as our toddlers.
